As I was sitting outside the locker room afterwards and waiting for him to change clothes, I was thinking about how grown up he is getting. In that moment, my tough hockey player came out, midway through getting dressed, just to look at me with the sweetest little face and say "I love you... you're the best mommy in the whole wide world." Then he returned. Cue tearful eyes.
How cute are they, and how lucky am I? This is from last Wednesday's hockey and skating lesson, which has now come to an end with the Saturday clinic starting up. Apparently, he asked David if they could go grab a beer afterwards, because that is what hockey players do. They went to Plucker's, and Nico had a root beer. Ha!
