To celebrate Jason's 30th birthday, Emily arranged a group of friends to surprise him down at her family's lakehouse on Saturday! She rented a pontoon boat and we spent a few hours out on beautiful Canyon Lake!
Nico had a blast on the boat with his BFF, Derek.
David started a trend for everyone to wear their life jackets this way to allow them to effortlessly float in the water. They all thought he was a genius. Ha!
Nico was a little nervous about getting in the water and only did for a brief amount of time. He seemed to be content up on the boat looking for fish.
After a few hours out on the lake, we headed back to their lakehouse for lunch and cake.
Another one of the highlights of this little daytrip was our experience with the deer! It was shocking to me how tame they were. At one point, Nico had 5-6 of them right up by him and was throwing them food. Definitely a culture shock for me!
I can definitely see that lake calling our name again soon!
