Last night, we were just sitting here, hanging out at the house, and DING DONG. My mom was at the door?! Turns out that David had arranged for her to babysit Nico while he took me out for a fun afternoon evening to celebrate my 28 years of existence. We went and got pedicures, ate dinner at Brio, and finished the night at Dodie's to watch an inning or two of the baseball game. It was such a nice surprise. Nico and him bought me a newer iPhone for my bday gift, along with a big pumpkin pail full of chocolate candy (which is actually almost gone as we speak. No. self. control.)
On my actual birthday, Tuesday, I had the privilege of spending some quality time with this guy...
He was cracking me up today. He was very much into ice chips. I would break up a piece of ice into his little bowl, and after he devoured it (and gave some to the dogs), he would proudly hold up his bowl, smile, and go, "mo mo mo mo mo." If I wasn't fast enough, he would go over to the refrigerator and continue his chant. Funny guy.
