When he comes home from school these days, he actually seems excited and tells us about his day. He has Chapel on Mondays and Thursdays, Spanish class on Tuesday, and Creative Movement class on Wednesday. His day includes recess and lunch every day too, and they have a pizza day once a week. They have a letter/theme/shape/color of the week and a monthly bible verse that they learn. The teacher sends out a detailed email each Sunday night with highlights of the following week and any new activities for us to know about. It's very structured yet fun! He has done plenty of projects that are saved in a folder until our fall parent teacher/conference meeting. You can tell that he is gaining confidence with his handwriting and letters, as he is often talking about it at home.
He has some of his friends from last year in his class, along with his best buddy, Jake. His teacher tells us that he is a chit chatter, but he is doing great overall! (He's been a chit chatter since Day 1, ha!) Their discipline system is a color chart with red, yellow, and green. He seems to stay on green most of the time, and if he does drop to yellow, he usually redeems himself by the end of his day and is proud to tell us about that too.
Looking forward to their Halloween party later this month!
