Happy 4th of July!

Ryan and Jessica came to town for 4th of July weekend, and we got plenty of time to hang out with them and my parents! We had the group over to our house on Friday afternoon, and we spent the afternoon at my parent's house on Saturday.

For lunch at our house, we had sliders, chips and dip, and fruit salad. Get this: For the fruit salad, Nico helped used a cookie cutter to specially cut up the watermelon. We also made white chocolate dipped pretzel sticks with red and blue sprinkles to be festive. Who am I?!?!

Natalie was dressed for the 4th and cuter than ever in her little outfit.

I was so happy that she didn't have issues gulping down a bottle of pumped milk so that I could enjoy my first ice cold cerveza in 10 months.

Our low-key weekend was full of backyard sports with Ryan and grandpa, BBQing, running in sprinklers, European soccer watching (thanks David...), and Jenga!

Not that we condone Nico pulling his pants down, but his spontaneous dance moves and "Oh yeah.." chanting in the middle of our game were hilarious. I'm not sure where he comes up with these things. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

It's not a 4th of July without sparklers, fireworks, and popsicles! On both Sunday and Monday nights, we got together with neighbors to do our own little show in the street.

Natalie made an appearance for a couple minutes when the sounds calmed down.
