Ryan time!

It's always good when my brother, Ryan, comes into town! I don't see him nearly as often as I would like with him being in Arkansas, but fortunately, he is moving to Dallas soon! He came in town this week for his BFF Kyle's wedding shower and stayed with us for a week or 2 just for fun. Nico loooooves him and emphasizes the AN on the end of Ry-AN. It's cute.

 Buddies...

I told Nico that Ryan was coming back soon and he waited in the window for 15 minutes straight. It's the longest I can recall him sitting still ever!...

Hangin out on the couch with pooh bear and froggie...

Happy hour!...

Sleepovers with Papa and Grandma

A big part of Nico's life these days is having regular sleepovers with his papa and grandma! He gets in his own little routine with things he likes to do with them as I have mentioned before. It's so cute. Here are a few pics that I came across worth sharing...

Here he is cookin for us..

Seems pumped about his new life jacket for the pool...

Watering the plants is one of his big jobs...

Horse races- a special tradition

At the end of May, every year for the past 13 years, David and his family try to go to the horse track in honor of David's papa, Arnold. Arnold was always so fond of going, and David has a lot of memories surrounding this event. Arnold used to refer to himself as Arnie Nguyen (prounced no win) because he would NEVER win! It was apparently the family joke on how bad his bets were.

I felt special going to this event today for the first time and felt closer to a man that I never had the privilege to meet. He is still very much living today through many of their memories and stories, as well as being Nico's middle name!

We all had a really good time! I will definitely look forward to going again next year!

Happy Anniversary to me

So I'm not sure if it was the ballpark hotdogs or a random stomach bug, but I spent all day and night of our 4th year anniversary next to the toilet and laying in bed! It was my year to plan, so the festivities have been postponed to another weekend. Booooo.

I did get a beautiful bouquet of flowers though from a certain someone special...

Nico's first Ranger's game

Today was another very big day in the Biagini household... Nico's first RANGER'S game! He has such a love for baseball already that we knew it would be a fun experience! We camped out on the lower level of the third base line and had an entire row to ourselves. We made it through 7-8 innings. Nico ate his way through about half of them (picked at our hotdogs, chicken strips, strawberry chill) and I would say he genuinely paid attention for about half of the game too! He would intermittently cheer, "Let's go Rangers" and got excited over homeruns and good plays. We can only hope that his early love for baseball is something that stays with him. It was a great day for us all.

He wanted to wear his glove on the way home. Does it get any cuter than this?

Hockey Sunday

I am excited about Nico's early love for baseball, but I also have to admit... he still loooooves hockey.

Nico gets beyond excited for David's games. He holds his own hockey stick from the moment we get in the car until the moment we return home. It's pretty darn cute actually.

He spends a little bit of the time watching the game, but he mostly enjoys running around and hitting a puck with his stick. He pretty much walks around like he owns the place. It's amusing.

Dave Matthews concert

It's that time of year again when Dave Matthew's Band comes to town! I have gone with David every year that they have come to town since we have been together... 6 of 7 years! Always makes for a fun night, and it's a built in date night with our friends, Chris and Kristin! They even played my two favorite songs... Crush and Crash. Bonus.

Happy Mumma Day!

This Mother's Day was definitely my best yet because my sweet Nico told me "Happy Mumma Day" for the first of many years to come. I sure do love this little guy. I feel privileged to have the title of Nico's mom. Best. job. ever.

Here are Nico's gifts to me that he made at Misty's!...

I was completely surprised on Saturday with a 3 hour SPA DAY! It was wonderful! Couldn't have asked for a better gift, considering the day before, I was begging for a few hours of relaxation all to myself! (David, please try to block out my brattiness that I really, really wanted to go to the Plano softball playoff game and was initially pretty disappointed when the car drove the opposite way to the spa! What was I thinking?! Gotta love me.)

David then took Nico over to Dave and Cindy's, and we went out to eat for dinner at Mia's. (It's so hard to pick another place when Mia's is just 30 min down the highway.) We landed at a nearby bar, Dodie's, to grab a drink afterwards, and free hockey tickets landed in our laps for the Game 7 minor league game nextdoor. In the spirit of being a team player and knowing how much David loves hockey, I said why not!?! It ended up being surprisingly fun, as the home team came back with only a few min remaining to sent the game into OT. It was a top 10 sports event for me because of the last minute excitement!

I woke up to find my spoiled chiweenie sleeping like a human. Had to share this one...

We then went to my absolute favorite breakfast place, Café Brazil, for snickerdoodle coffee and reeses/banana pancakes. (Keep your judgement to a minimum. They are de-licious!)

We spent the rest of Sunday at Dave and Cindy's to celebrate her Mother's Day too. We hung out by the pool, watched the Rangers, and had a crab boil!

And a happy Mother's Day to you too, Mom! Still trying to be half as good of a mom to Nico as you were to Ryan and I.
