TCU: Alamo Bowl Game

Kenny and the entire Hill family mean a lot to David, so when we had the opportunity to drive only an hour down the road to be there for Kenny's last college football game, it was an obvious decision.

The Horned Frogs upset Stanford 39-37 in dramatic comeback fashion after being down 18 pts early in the game. Lots of high fives going around on our row! Kenny played lights out and was able to end his college career on a high note. So happy for him!

Christmas Part I: Plano

We began our nice and long Christmas weekend with a trip to the Dallas area! Our first stop was to Ryan and Jessica's for a brief gift exchange on Friday, followed by the main evening get together at Uncle Neil's house.

This was an extremely special trip, because it was our first time to meet Jordan! Natalie couldn't keep her eyes off of her, and Nico felt like a pro holding another baby.

Proud grandparents with all three of their grandchildren!

We needed something materialistic to solidify Team Jess and annoy others.

We ate, drank, laughed, and listened to Brave Combo. We also started (what we hope will be) a new tradition of a cousins' Christmas sleep over!

The kids played well together for the most part, and when they weren't attacking each other with nerf guns or watching tv, they (Caitlyn) put together a play. Nico and Alex added some dance moves and fighting every now and then to her narrative.

I want in on whatever is being discussed here!...

The sleepover turned out half fun and half crazy. I hit the lottery, without knowing it at the time, and was able to land the 9 pm quiet bedtime spot in Natalie's bed. The other 3 kids apparently kept the rest of the adults awake until after 2 am?!

Christmas Part II: Grapevine

We left for Grapevine on Saturday morning to start our Christmas festivities with Dave and Cindy!

They couldn't wait for nighttime to open their presents, so they each got a sneak peak before. Natalie couldn't smile any bigger over this little Minnie pull out couch!

Nico was pumped about his Dallas Cowboys football helmet and uniform...

...but despite his excitement, he wanted to see what it looked like on his sister. Pretty funny. And also so adorable how he thinks of her ALWAYS!

It wouldn't be Christmas in Grapevine without a stroll down to Main Street!

Nico joined in as Chef #4 and helped cook an awesome prime rib!

The kids spent the rest of the night opening and enjoying the fun toys and gifts! Natalie was in awe over everything, including the paper and boxes.

Nico gets so excited over the little things sometimes. Here he is doing his Zeke impression after getting that Dallas Cowboys legos figure.

He has already moved onto "more mature" things than just toys and was truly appreciative for nice athletic clothes and a new backpack! 6 going on 16 right here.

It was our 1st Christmas without their beagle, Sadie :(

Feeding into his Liverpool soccer obsession!...

Christmas Part III: Christmas Eve in Austin

There is so much excitement in the air on Christmas Eve, especially when you have small children!!! We continued one of our few traditions again this year with a pre-dinner drink at the Driskill! The tree is so beautiful, and it's such an extra fancy place to be this time of year.

We clean up well. Here is my world.

We had an a...maz...ing dinner @ Bob's Steak and Chophouse - Downtown. Spoiled.

Our kids can legitimately behave well whenever we go to nice places, and even in her "wildest" moments tonight, this one simply had us cracking up.

Now bring on Christmas morning!...
