Nico, David, and my dad went down to Corpus Christi to watch one of David's former players, Austin, play in a college baseball tournament! Ironically, Michigan State was one of their opponents, so my dad wore his Spartans stuff proudly among the group of Central Florida fans! Nico not only loved the baseball part, but they were also close to the beach.
They had fun for the most part, but David did come down with a horrible sinus infection that led him to actually go to urgent care in the middle of the night. What's with these urgent care trips for us lately?!
Nico became buddies with Julie. It was great for him to have someone there to play with!

Valentine's date night for us!
Look what David got me!!! I was pumped. It didn't last 48 hours. I love this man.
It was my year to plan Valentine's Day for us, and I had a few ideas up my sleeve. Our afternoon started with pedicures!
I then surprised him by taking him over to La-Z-Boy to look for a new recliner. Ours had seen its final days and was falling apart, and David's very much into his recliner! We found the one right away. He wanted a "one and a half" seat width to make sure he had room for kids to squeeze on in there with him. So cute that he thought about that.
Dinner reservations were downtown at Italic. We ended up splitting a few meals since David was slightly stressed trying to decide if he wanted osso bucco or pasta bolognese, and I really didn't have a strong opinion on what I wanted. Typical for us there! The Italian food snob was not disappointed, so it was a successful date night!

We had the cutest Valentine's moment with Nico this year. We were at HEB picking out superhero valentine cards for his class party, and he saw other candy in the aisle next to it. He promptly grabbed this heart with M&M's and said he wanted to get that for Isla. (Side note, this is a girl that he has been caught kissing with at school, and he talks of her often. He claims, while blushing and smiling, that she is always looking at him and follows him around.) He added in that it had a heart on top of it, so she will then think that he loves her. Then he giggled. It was so adorable, so we HAD to get it. But then I thought, he's only 4 and he is already thinking about these things?!!!
He, unfortunately, ended up not feeling well and missed his class party. When I picked up his valentine cards later that day, his teacher did reassure me that Isla received her special Valentine! Nico was proud.

Dallas trip- Biagini's and Bachelorette
We had another eventful weekend up in Dallas! It was the weekend of JHam's Bachelorette party, and the guys had plenty of fun with Dave and Cindy.
Nico developed pink eye on the road trip up, so our Thursday night consisted of sitting in urgent care. Booooo! (This was a big night though as we revealed our baby gender news to Dave and Cindy! I'll eventually get around to posting on that separately!) We hung around the house for most of Friday so that Nico could recover, and I went over to Once Upon a Child in Plano to finally splurge on some girl clothes! I had a blast and spent 2+ hours there. She's gonna have the cutest wardrobe!
We still found a way to get to Mia's for dinner...
Nico brought his hockey stuff so he could show Papa and Grandpa his new skills.
Papa and Nico played against David, and every time that they would score, Nico went rushing over to hug Papa in celebration. Pretty cute.
Cindy and I were the designated cheerleaders. We also were instructed to loudly yell, "Who cares," just like at the Stars' games, when David scored on them.
David caught up with some old friends on Saturday...
And Nico was spoiled with MORE hockey equipment!! He was especially all about those shin guards.
They all went to the Dallas Stars' game on Saturday night and had a blast.
We ate brunch in uptown at a cute little restaurant called Public School 214 before heading over to a house that we rented for the night in the Bishop Arts District.
Kathleen arranged for one of her art coworkers to come over and do Painting with a Twist, where we each painted our own canvas art. I am definitely no artist, but it was something fun and different to do!
We hung around the house for the afternoon and had munchies and drinks, played games, and threw a lingerie shower. There were bachelorette appropriate decorations throughout the house (go figure, Kathleen and Hilary tend to go ALL out!) This was my fav...
At nighttime, we walked down to the Bishop Arts Main St area to do a little shopping and have dinner.

JHam's big Bachlorette Party day went perfectly. It was a full day of activities and quality time with her closest friends! I love this girl!

We then went back to the house and continued the fun again! Definitely the best case scenario of a bachelorette party for this sober, tired pregnant lady!! Can't wait for the wedding in a few weeks!!
