It's always fun to go downtown and hang out before a UT football game! My coworker, Matthew, asked us if we wanted to go to the game with him and his wife, since he had been given a couple pairs of tickets. Score!
David and I walked around and stumbled across our usual spot for tailgating where we have gone the past year or two. There's live music, vendors, food, and it's away from the overly crazy college kids. Yep, we're older and boring now.
David wanted to make a point to see one of his former baseball players, Nico, who is in a frat down here at UT now. It was difficult to reach him by phone, so he told us just to show up at his frat, and it would all work out. Well, we stood outside the fence and asked some guys if Nico was here. Their actual, non-joking response: "Why? Are you guys his parents?" Ok, I wasn't wrong about feeling older now. We winded up hanging out at his frat party for a little while and definitely felt out of place! Good people watching, though!
The game was fun with plenty of scoring. One of Texas' few wins this year!
