We rang in the new year at home this year, as we usually do! Pjs + chinese food + mimosas + fighting to stay up to see the ball drop is the way for me. To really make the night thrilling, we threw in a nice hour of playing h-o-r-s-e on Nico's little basketball hoop. Woohoo, party animals! (insert sarcasm here)
We had the privilege of Ryan hanging out with us all night. Very surprising to me, as I figured us old, married couple with a baby would be a definite lame idea for him! I got to see the cutest side to him tonight. Nico woke up a couple times in the night and wouldn't go back to sleep. Not his normal thing. Uncle Ryan was concerned. He played with him, read to him, and talked in this gentle voice! Come to find out the next morning, he actually fell asleep lying there next to Nico's crib. He woke up around 6 a.m. and realized that he had passed out there on the floor. So sweet and worth mentioning.
We made it to midnight!
