I do have to admit that on a selfish note, it was nice to be able to comfort him and hold him when he was feeling badly. It's not too often anymore that he will comfortably curl up in my arms. I miss that.

Our First Urgent Care Experience
We should have known that something was up when Nico slept a majority of the day AND night all of last weekend! By Sunday night, he was burning up big time and his face was very flushed. We measured a temp of 103.2! In typical new parent fashion, I freaked out and immediately decided to drive to the urgent care down the street without even waiting for our doctor to call us back. They measured his temp closer to 101, so that was a relief. His checkup didn't reveal anything obvious other than a slightly red throat (but negative strep test), so they just suggested to give him Tylenol or Motrin. It's currently Day 3 and Nico is back to his normal self. He responded pretty well to Tylenol and the teething tablets and only gave us a few frustrating episodes in the middle of the night. We think we can see a few little teeth about to come through on the top, which may explain the recent events! Never a dull moment or too consistent of a schedule with this guy.
I do have to admit that on a selfish note, it was nice to be able to comfort him and hold him when he was feeling badly. It's not too often anymore that he will comfortably curl up in my arms. I miss that.
