Happy 40th, David!

He didn't want me to attempt to plan a big bday bash for his 40th; he simply wanted to have a fun get together with his hockey crew! We met at Andrew and Danielle's new home on the eastside, where we could walk to a few of the cool bars out that way. David felt special and thought that it was the perfect little night. I did feel a little guilty by not throwing some elaborate party for him, but I totally get why this was his request, since they are all such genuinely nice people!

To send him into his 40's with a little more of a bang, we do plan on going on a little couple's trip at some point early next year. Just bad timing to plan something now with upcoming family vacations and other committments! Destination... TBD!

Cindy visits Austin!

Cindy came down to Austin for a quick, little getaway weekend to see the kids and caught Nico's baseball scrimmage, enjoyed a rainy day making cupcakes, and went to Nico's hockey clinic on Sunday morning too!

We went to our fav Mexican food restaurant around here, El Rey.

The infamous chipped beef on toast. Natalie is learning already.

A rainy day called for a day in of playing and baking/cooking.

Nico has been enjoying the Little Rookies hockey clinics every Sunday for the past few wks. He is becoming such a good skater!

Check him out below (on the left side by the glass...skating away from the camera...)

Trampoline park day

It's always fun to find a cool, new place for Nico to burn some energy! I took the kids to this trampoline park, Altitude, as an after school surprise the other day while David was out of town. It was hard to get Nico to leave, especially after a large group of boys his age showed up.

He was the king of this dodge ball game.

Didn't do so red hot against this kid double his age in the gladiator knock down! He made me get in there to go against him next.

In typical Natalie fashion, she just sat there smiling and clapping! Not too long before she will be running around here, too!
