My parents took us out to dinner last weekend to celebrate 39 years of this guy. David finally got his dream dinner, the famous Perry's pork chop, that he had been hearing of for quite some time. I'm not sure I have seen him this excited over food EVER!
On his actual birthday, it was too gorgeous of a day to not get out to Abel's! David said that he woke up thinking about a Texas tea!!
Here's to your last year in your 30's, you old man, you. Love you more with every birthday you have.

Easter weekend
We had a nice little Easter weekend that kicked off with ball pit fun, egg dyeing, and an Easter egg hunt at Derek's house!
Our super competitive little guy was running all over the place trying to get the most eggs. There were literally 100 to choose from for just him and Derek!
Sour candy face.
The Easter Bunny left some surprises on Sunday morning.
He had quite the excited reactions. I love this guy. (Sidenote: No idea why we still have him wearing his 3 year old pajama pants.)
We went over to my parents for Easter lunch and a walk around the neighborhood. Nico wanted to show off his new scooter too.
So much to be thankful for this Easter.

Ryan's wedding weekend!!!
After all of the buildup and anticipation, the big weekend was finally here! Ryan and Jess' wedding weekend went just perfectly, and I couldn't be happier for the two of them! (Nor more jealous for their upcoming Bora Bora trip, ha.) It was an absolutely beautiful wedding day, and there was plenty of fun leading up to it too!
On Thursday night, we went over to Uncle Neil's house for a bratwurst dinner and hanging out. David's infamous baby name game became a topic of conversation, and even though the focus of the weekend was supposed to be on the wedding, the bride reaaaaaally wanted to know the name. The game unfolded, and Dave and Cindy played over the phone too.
Friday consisted of plenty of pre wedding chores. We picked up Nico's suit from Men's Warehouse (and could he look ANY cuter, by the way!?!) and then did some shoe shopping for him. We had no idea it would take going to 6 stores to find brown shoes. We then had the rehearsal at 2 pm, followed by rehearsal dinner at Maggiano's later that night.
He was soooo proud to try on this suit. He had been talking about it for months. Brought a tear to my eye to see him looking so grown up.
Rehearsal was quick and easy. Really impressed with their venue.
One of my favorite pics of our little family of 3 4.
A quick bridal party post wedding shot to kick off the reception!
I told him that after I brushed my teeth, I would come read a bedtime story to him. In less than a minute later, this is what I found...

At Maggiano's, it all started to feel more real that my little brother is getting married!
When they brought the family style desserts, Nico picked up the giant serving spoon and started inhaling the chocolate cake. Unexpected and pretty funny.
Wedding day started for us girls at 8 am when we met over at Hilary's house for professional hair and makeup. My mom and I felt so out of place having that much makeup on, but it ended up looking really, really good!
The guys got ready in the hotel suite. Love this picture of Ryan and my little man getting ready.
Some pre-wedding photos of the group. She made such a beautiful bride!.....
And the wedding began!!! I didn't fully keep my composure walking down the aisle. Couldn't help but get teared up out of happiness for this day (...and pregnancy hormones?!)
Cutest ring bearer ever. He was so nervous about the rings and didn't want to hold onto them until right before the wedding. Then, when he was given them just minutes before the wedding, he wouldn't take his hand out of his pocket with them. He took his job so seriously and made us so very proud. It was probably the proudest mom moment I have had thus far.
Meet Jessica Elson 2.0!!.....

Nico had a little buddy, Ella, that kept chasing him around. He acted like he didn't like it, but we all know that he was eating it up.
I told him that after I brushed my teeth, I would come read a bedtime story to him. In less than a minute later, this is what I found...
Successful wedding weekend.
