We have a crawler on our hands

After a week of watching Nico attempt to move like this,

he finally figured it out!...

Of all of the successful moments that I have had throughout my life, I have never felt so proud than to watch Nico accomplish new things! 

 

This video is actually the FIRST time that I saw Nico crawl! We knew it was coming. There were a couple false alarms when I could have sworn that this was going to be "it," so I started videoing him. Go figure, I got it on camera!

 

 

 

Easter family celebration

Dave and Cindy had a family get together last Saturday to celebrate Easter and David's belated birthday! My parents joined in, plus Tim and Patty Ann were there for their last weekend in Texas before heading back home to Minnesota. 

We hung out by the pool, watched the Rangers, played Bocce ball, and ate a lot of good food!



It's always so nice when we can all get together to do things like this. Nico is a very lucky boy to have two sets of grandparents that love him so much!

With David having a baseball tournament this weekend, I couldn't make any crazy birthday plans for him sooo.... a cooked meal by yours truly + his favorite birthday cake/ice cream + his favorite bottle of wine + Final Four basketball = a simple, relaxing night!

 

David didn't seem to care too much about turning 35. He just said it was another year older.

Nico's new trick: sitting up in crib

When I walked into his room following his morning nap yesterday, this is what I saw...

He has learned how to go from his tummy to sitting up in his crib! So after discovering this, we realized that we needed to lower his crib mattress ASAP.

It was not even 10 minutes after putting him in there for his next bedtime, that we glanced at the monitor and he was standing up. What a close call!
